Pinewood Derby

Josh had his Pinewood Derby tonight. Going in we told him not to expect much, since we hadn't put very much technical expertise into the construction of his car. When we got there, the weights were dragging on the track, and we had to remove them and screw them to the top of his car. By sheer luck, Josh somehow managed to come in third place, and will go on to the districts held at the mall. Needless to say, he is very excited by his new ribbon for his uniform.

I love the pinewood derby. This is the first year in many that we haven't done it. Since the church stopped the AWANA program, we don't have anywhere to do it. I keep talking about boyscouts with Jonah (my 10yo), but it never seems to happen. I'll have to make that suggestion again. Congrats on the win!!!!
