Kim and Kids

Haven't really had time to think about my post for the day, but wanted to put something up since I've skipped all week. More shots with my new backdrop. I am realizing the more people you add to a tight shot, the harder it gets to compose. This one seemed to work out alright.

I like the expressions you captured. They are so natural and relaxed. The personalities and even a bit of the relationship dynamics show though.

Sometimes, more overlap of the people helps with composition and depth. I don't think that would have worked with this one though, their is something I really like about the body language of the boys that you would have lost if you posed one infront of mom and one behind her.

Sandie, thanks for the suggestion. I need to talk to Jeff about the posing idea. I was having the front person go slightly out of focus when I tried that. Not sure if it was the aperture setting or the lens focal length. Will try again. I think the more "piled" together they look, the better.
